Gautam Kumar's Story

Started my career in ABB (erstwhile CG Hartmann & Braun) in 1995 as a repair Lab engineer moving to service, sales, engineering, project management, and then to operation.
Have the privilege of introducing DIN rail mount temperature transmitter in India, Engineer, build, and commissioned the first Kiln Inlet system in Chekka Cement Lebanon and also the first CE certified Gas Analyser system design, build, supply & commission. Had the privilege to be in the startup & commissioning team in the Shurtan Gas Chemical complex in Uzbekistan. Also served for 7 years as Technical Support Specialist for Continuous Gas Analyser & FTIR Analysers in India. Set up a new SIU in Bangalore and helped to move the entire Instrument Product Manufacturing factory from Faridabad to Bangalore.
Moved to the Middle East 8 years ago as Business Unit Manager for Measurement Products in Qatar.
Moved to Dubai, UAE and served as HUB Division Operation Manager for Middle East & Africa; and achieved appraisal of an Exceptional performer for 2020 for improvement in business by way of better project management, and significant margin improvement. Also, significant savings were ensured by the means of introducing automation for all execution activities.
Led the team to set up and run a product manufacturing unit for pressure and temperature transmitter and system integration unit for analytical products in Daman, Saudi Arabia.
By way of continuous learning and using available opportunities to enhance my skills, have secured certificates in courses like Certified Project Manager, Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and & Level 2 Technically Certification for Analytical Products of ABB. Also sharpened my soft skills of management through various programs in top-class universities.
